A nice crowd gathered for the April breeding stock sale of breeding bulls,
pairs and bred cows.  Top selling bull brought $3900 with most of the age
advanced bulls bringing from $2700 to $3700.  Yearling bulls not quite
as popular sold from $2300 and down.
40 -- 2 year old heifer pairs sold in groups of 2-5 head and left the ring
from $3400-$3650.  Mature cows with calves at side topped at $3400 with
most trading from $2550 to $3250.  Balance of these pairs sold at
$2400 and down
Most of the bred cows were 3rd periods and topped at $3300.  Most of the
rest sold from $2400 to $3050.  There were very few 1st or 2nd periods
cows in the offering.
383 slaughter cattle including 156 fed steers and heifers that sold with 
moderate demand on a 193.00 top.  Overall the market traded 2.00 lower!
Slaughter cows traded steady to firm with some advance on the fleshy
breakers.  Bulls once again sold 6.00-8.00 higher.
