After taking the July 4th week off, a big run (627 head) of all
classes came |
|
to town including 322 fed steers and heifers along
with 291 slaughter cows |
|
|
and bulls. Compared to
two weeks ago the fed market traded lower on a |
|
|
187.00 top. Several
cattle in the offering were lacking finish and weight and |
|
sold accordingly.
However, the cow market started out higher and kept |
|
|
reaching higher prices as the day went on!
Many cows sold in excess of 115.00 |
|
cwt. especially the fleshier ones.
Bull top was 136.00 |
|
