Saturday, January 21, 2023 - Kocher Annual Bred Heifer Sale

A large crowd gathered for the Annual  Kocher Bred Heifer Sale a long with a few other selected consignors! The  Kocher heifers were all 3rd period, AI'd and due March 1st.  These 100 heifers sold in groups of 4 to 8 averaged $2650 with a top of $3200!  Other  consignments of bred heifers sold in groups 2 to 5 topped at $3400 but sold mostly in a range of $1750 to $2400.  The other sale feature was the dispersal of Tusek Farms cow herd featuring mostly Musgrave Angus genetics.  These were also well received and topped at $3100 on a group of 5 year olds.  The range on these thru the 7 year olds was $1950 to $2950.  The 8 year olds and up found new homes from $1600 and down.
