Tuesday, October 25, 2022 - Packer Day
272 slaughter cattle including 150 fed
steers and heifers that sold with good demand on the high choice
and prime cattle but moderate demand on the lesser
finished individuals. The choice/select spread has
widened recently and packers are less receptive to
those mixed grading cattle!
Slaughter cows continue to lose value as they sold
4.00-5.00 lower. Look for this sideways to lower
market trend to continue for a few more weeks.
