5301 slaughter cattle including 175 fed steers and heifers that sold with moderate demand on a top of 149.00! Demand has softened on all classes of slaughter cattle as cow numbers have picked up in the south and west. Several fed cattle consignments today were marginal on finish, that said the market still traded mostly 5.00 lower.
