Tuesday, January 4, 2022 - Packer Day & Breeding Stock
The January cow sale consisted of a
handful of pairs and 250 bred cows mostly in the 2nd and
3rd period.
Majority came from herd reductions
along with a couple of smaller dispersions.
30 bred heifers topped at $1750
with the rest from $1450 and down.
Younger bred cows
topped at $1650 with the best end from $1400 to $1600.
Smaller thinner young
Cows traded from
$1350 and down.
Middle aged cows
topped at $1450 with most selling from $1100 to $1425 and older cows
in decent flesh topped at $1475 with the heavier cows showing the
most interest.
Smaller framed, thinner aged cows
brought mostly $1000 and down.
