Tuesday, May 24, 2022 - Packer Day

451 slaughter cattle including 160 fed steers and heifers sold with moderate demand on a steady to 2.00 lower.  Scratch top was 150.00!  Fed market continue to be pressured with high feed costs and ample supplies at the moment.

Slaughter cows traded 3.00-4.00 higher on the breakers and cutters and 1.00-2.00 higher on the boners. 

Slaughter bulls were active and also sold 3.00-4.00 higher with the quality more attractive than last several weeks.
