Thursday, April 14, 2022 - Wean-Vac Sale/Easter Lamb Sale
Thursday was also our annual Easter Lamb Special with receipts of 730 head. The lamb market was also a fast track as 50-100# lambs topped at 400.00/hundred weight and averaged $288.25/head. Light lambs under 50# averaged $270/head.
1353 cattle found new homes at today's Wean/Vac Sale and it featured 7 pot loads of yearlings steers along with many consignments of home-raised and backgrounded feeders suitable for grass. A large crowd came to buy and many consignors were rewarded with the highest prices so far this year! These green wintered out feeders are always popular this time of year and prices today reflected this once again.
