Tuesday, August 13, 2020 - Packer Day

319 slaughter cattle including 157 fed steers & heifers that sold with good demand on a 3.00-4.00 higher market. After last week's market was interrupted by the high winds and power outages that swept across Iowa and Illinois, packers are back operating at full capacity!

The cull cow market was aided by an increase in cutout values late last week which helped increase prices by 3.00 cwt. However, bulls sold just steady with last week.
