The May bred cow, pair and bull sale consisted of 209 head in front of a moderate size crowd with several participating on line!
19 tested bulls sold mostly from $1300 to $1700 on bulls with enough size to use this spring & summer. Smaller, younger bulls sold from $1250 and down.
The top end of the cows with calves at side brought from $1650 to $2150. Middle cut ranged from $1325 to $1600 with the older, smaller framed pairs sold from $1300 and down.
In the bred cow division a legitimate fall calving dispersion sold mostly from $1300 to $1500. These cows were mostly in the 2nd stage and set to calve after Sept. 1st. Other bred cow consignments were mostly in the 2nd & 3rd period and topped at $1800. The better end of these cows sold from $1200 to $1550 with the next cut selling from $1000 to $1200. Smaller, less appealing 2nd & 3rd period were marked at $1000 and down.
The May 156 slaughter cows & bulls sold today with good demand on all classes. Breakers sold steady with boners & cutters 2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls topped at 95.00 with the trend steady with last week.
