2013 cattle sold at Fairview Sale Barn including
1968 feeder cattle and 45 cows. Buyers with decent receiving pens were
aggressive, but those with poor, wet and muddy lots at home were very
hesitant. Overall the market was very fair under the conditions.
97% of the feeders were weaned and vaccinated. A huge percentage of
the cattle had 2 or 3 rounds of shots which was very important to the buyers
under present conditions as things are too favorable for respiratory
problems and these shots held head this off.
