Tues., March 6, , 2018 - Packer Day/Bred Cow Sale
A big crowd was in the seats for the March bred cow sale featuring 2 dispersions o mostly younger black cows that have plenty of future ahead of them! The top groups from these consignments brought up to $1825.
Sale Summary: 36 bred heifers topped at $1674 with the bulk of larger framed heifers selling from $1400 to $1675. Smaller, less appealing heifers sold mostly from $950 to $1300.
270 bred cows topped at $1825.
3-4 years topped @ $1825 with bulk from $1400 to $1800
5-6 years topped fro $1825 with bulk from $1350 to $1800
7-8 years topped @ $1475 with bulk from $1200 to $1475
9 years & up topped @ $1275 with the smaller or aged cows selling mostly from $775 to $1225
A smaller fed cattle offering but another big run of slaughter cows/bulls today at Fairivew Sale Barn. Steers & heifers sold steady to instances 1.00 higehr with a top of 136.00 on steers and 134.50 on heifers.
Cull cows and bulls sold mostly steady with last week.
Bred cow sale today at 5 p.m. Next feedwer special will be this Thursday, March 8.
