2245 weaned and vaccinated feeder cattle sold today. Even with the cold, it was an ideal day to move cattle. Buyer attendance was good, demand was excellent, and the market was active. 75% of the run weighed from 550# to 800#.

Next Tuesday, January 9, 2018 is the usual slaughter sale at 10’, followed by the monthly bred cow sale at 5 PM. A couple of early consignments are: Hobbs Angus-23 purebred Angus cows (ages are 3’s-5 hd, 4’s-11 hd, 5’s-4 hd, 6’s-2 hd, and 1-8 yr old)---- Dexter: 60 head dispersal of Charolais and Black bred cows, start calving March 1, mixed age. Other smaller consignments are on the books.
Next Saturday, the 13th is a wean/vac feeder sale. Calves must be weaned at least 30 days with the pasteurella, virals and 7-way shots. All breeds are welcome.
