1668 Feeder Cattle went before the largest buying crowd since last spring and the competition was keen for all weights. Well over 90% of the run had one or two complete rounds of vaccinations, were long time weaned, and the males were neutered. There were only 15 bull calves in the entire sale. These factors opened the door to all buyers and the only thing they had to judge was quality and that was very good throughout. Prices today prove the point that herd management pays big time as weaning and vaccinating meet the demands of a lot more buyers and this added competition is vital if you wish to get top dollar for your calves.

We will be fully open for business next week, but will be closed the entire last week of the year as we get ready for a very busy January. No sales December 26 and 28. Merry Christmas and eat lots of steak. Toss in a roast or burger if that suits.
Go to fairviewsalebarn.com for the January schedule, or drop by the barn and pick one up, or give one of us a call.
