Thurs. - March 24, 2016 - Special Feeder Sale 

1855 cattle sold today at Fairview sale barn. Even though the report this week was bearish causing a big dip at the Merc, the approaching grass season kept the market from falling out of bed. Anything with grazing potential sold very well. Fleshy and bigger cattle showed some effect of the board drop and brought lower prices. The futures market for fed cattle is anything but rosy all the way through the spring months.

April 5th, Tuesday, is the next breeding stock sale and features the annual Johnson Brothers (Double J Farms) bull sale with 17 top bulls offered. Also there will be over 100 cow/calf pairs sold. Most will be 1st calf heifers bred and calved out by reputable producers who do things right using top bulls on heifers with very good genetics. A real opportunity here!
