Tuesday, January 5, 2016 - Packer Day/Bred Cow Sale

113 bred cows sold and the market was very mixed. There were only a very few front end young cows in the sale and they brought from $1750 to $2000. Everything else brought much less.

Remember Saturday January 23rd. It’s Kocher day for front end bred cows A lot of top quality bred heifers and one dispersion consignment of 70+ commercial Angus cows.

First slaughter sale of the new year brought higher prices with good demand to all classes!  slaughter steers & heifers were considerably higher with a top of 137.00

Cull cows sold steady and bulls 5.00 higher compared to the last 2 weeks.
