Tuesday February 17, 2015 Packer Sale
A good majority of the slaughter steers & heifers today were either short on finish or carrying extra mud. The last several weeks of winter have been hard on both man & beast. Several cattle (selects) went back for more feed as that market was better than what the packer buyers were willing to pay. Top today was 167.00.
The cull cow trade was also uneven as higher grading cows sold fully steady and poorer, shelly cows were weak to 2.00 lower.
