6, 2013- Packer Day
A nice summer run of 268 fed cattle
came to market in Fairview today. Steers made up most of the run and were
a step ahead in quality compared to the heifers. The market was a tick
ahead of a week ago with a top of 125.25 with about all of the choice better
yielding kind falling between 121.00 and the top. Slaughter cows with 57
of the 78 head offering falling between $80 and the top of $94. Bulls were
100.00 to 105.25 except for some thinner ones in the $90's. Heiferettes &
older coarser mates are way back.
