The impending hot & humid weather
forecast for later this week caused several feeders to sell some inventory as we
had 274 slaughter steers & heifers at Fairview Sale Barn today. The market
traded fully .50 to 1.00 higher on the choice grades and weak to 1.00 lower on
the select grading cattle.
The cow trade continued its upward
climb with several cows selling in excess of 95.00/cwt. Top was 104.75.
Bulls steady with upper end not well tested.
