Last Year
After last week's short run and a very bullish cattle on feed report,
prices spiked upward as both steers and heifers topped the 130.00 mark in
Fairview today. Extreme top was 130.75.
The cow market was steady with last week's strong go on the better kind. A few
thinner, low yielding and slower cows were in the offering today and obviously
sold at lower figures. Top cows with yield brought in the 80"s which led to a
lot of plus $1000 cows.
