January 19 Bred Stock Market Report

235 head in today’s sale. There were 206 bred heifers. The reputation Kocher heifers (84 head) averaged $2144.00 per head with a top of $2400 on six head. The 84 head weighed 1165# and were in perfect calving condition. 65 head of Hammitt heifers averaged 1083 at $1825.00 per. 10 head of Kramer 1150# heifers brought $1875.00. 18 head of Phelps 1075# heifers averaged $1642.00. 17 Thurman/Lomax heifers averaged $1650. Miller heifers (9 head) 1083# sold for $1482.00.

Cows were in short supply, but had lots of quality. 5 registered Angus (Hackett) averaged $2520.00 with a top of $2850.00. 22 Campbell cows averaged $1876.00 with a top of $2100. Some of these mouthed a little older than expected. A few single fancy cows brought from $1850.00-$2600.00.
