Yesterdays down day at the Merc put a damper on the
slaughter cattle trade as steers & heifers sold mostly 1.00 to 1.50 lower.
Scratch top was 130.25! Bulk of the choice cattle sold from 125.00 to
129.00/cwt.
Slaughter cows were active on a top of 96.25.
Overall cows sold 1.00 higher and slaughter bulls 3-4 higher. Bull top was
104.25.
