Thurs - December 8, 2016 – Feeder Special Sale

1533 feeder cattle sold today at Fairview Sale Barn.  The sale was well attended and bidding was active.  6 full pot loads of yearling steers sold.  The rest of the run consisted of a few smaller groups of yearlings.  2/3 of the run was made up of calves.  Most were weaned and vaccinated and sold quite well.  Un-weaned, non vaccinated, fleshy and clubby looking calves sold well behind the top calves.  Many times there was a huge difference as buyers more and more often are wanting the better managed groups.
