319 slaughter animals went through the auction today selling at much higher figures than the short run last week and a few dollars more than two weeks ago. Condition and quality were both very good on all but a very few head.
USDA indicated that fed cattle were $.50 to $1.50 higher than the last reported with cows and bulls $3 to $5 higher.
